I'm glad I payed for my apprenticeship...kinda like going to school.like an ojt thing...wouldn't have done it any other way...plus I worked a full time job...I feel it's too easy to get into the arts anymore...it used to be a secrete society...now everyone and there brother or sister is going to tattoo kits .com and making a mockery of tradition...pay your dues..just the way I feel..only one opinion...I don't mean to hurt feelings..I just had to do it the right way..think everyone should.....and I do ink for free a lot more often than the wife feels I should..but i don't want to get a real job...lol..peace!

I never paid for my Apprenticeship but I also didnt get paid during it. Wich I believe is fair, I was however, tipped out for set-ups and tear-downs during.

no one should pay actual money for an apprenticeship. I don't care who the artist is. if the artist thinks you got what it takes? then he shouldn't charge. I feel artist charge people that just don't got it.

you should never never never pay for an apprenticeship what you should do is work a part time job suck it up and eat top rammen for a year and earn your bones,,,, that is the only way to truly get the desire and know how rough the industry can be i was never treated bad there were practical jokes a plenty but if you are a true artist you would never have anyone pay ... you would have them show commitment to the art by not peacin out when it gets rough,,,, this paying for shit has come about over thelast 10 years or so and its complete crap..dicks tryin to make a buck and thats not the way it should be.....thats my oppinion
