Hi, i have been wanting to get my first tattoo for a little over a year now. I haven't done it yet because i wasn't exactly sure what i wanted. I want something that fits me style wise, but i also want a tattoo that is meaningful to me, and unique in some way.

Lately i have been piecing together an idea. I would like the tattoo on my right shoulder. It would cover my whole shoulder, go a little down my arm, and it would go a little down my back and chest, and come up the back of my neck a little bit. Tribal has always been my favorite style, so i would like it to have that type of style. But i would also like it to include a decently sized black spade. And also, maybe a little bit less visible puzzle piece that is blacked out as well.

Does anyone think this would be a good/bad idea? Or have any suggestions? I can see what i want in my head, but i'm not the best artist, so it is difficult for me to get it down on paper.

So, what other things would you put in your tattoo? some animal, tree or something else? Thin or thick lines?

Go around some like these http://www.tribalshapes.com and make up a better idea. Then go to a tattoo studio and tell the artist your idea. He will draw something for you...

I think it is a good idea according to me as, there are many options that you can try with tribal designs and you can create a design by asking your tattoo artist as he will definitely help you in creating a bright design for you.
