Post CONVENTIONAL AGAINST MODERN PROS AND CONS?

i have been told that rotary are really difficult and should be avoided at all costs,however i watch tutorials by for example mike devries,and pavel of russia and many other greats and their work is lush and they seem to be using rotary so my question is not which is best but whats the benefits and disadvantages of one against the other,also what machine would one recommend as there seems to be thousands out there,many thanks lee

If you are learning start where we all did with a Coil Machine (conventional) when you have this mastered and can Tattoo of the needles not the tube then go to Rotary .. by the way I have some great Conventional set ups for sale as I now use Rotary Machines and never plan on going back.. if you follow this course of learning you will also learn both the benefits as well as disadvantages .. other point no machine can make up for having taken Art classes and being a well rounded artist .. working with a Rotary is more like painting.. good luck Ron
