Ive been doing tattoos for about 8 months now, and have been seeking out a apprenticeship. But out of all the things i have learned but looking online and watching videos, it seems that color packing is not a heavily covered subject.

Sometimes when i am packing color weather it be black or anything else, sometimes everything sticks great, then other times it is very splotchy and needs a second pass in a few weeks. But i am not sure what i am doing diffrent each time.

So does anyone have any tips on what works best for you?

I have been at it about the same amount of time as you and had these same problems! I would say to be sure your getting a really good stretch on the skin, maybe try stretching a smaller area at a time. Also a more consistent motion and speed in your hand will help as well. Hope that helps
