Japanese legend has it that every year thousands of Koi, a courageous, strong, and dedicated fish, make a perilous and difficult journey up the Rainbow (or Dragon) river.
Out of perhaps a million Koi, only once in many years, one Koi is dedicated and strong enough to swim all the way to the head of the river, known as "The Dragon Gate" (or "The Rainbow Gate") and leap from the water.
He is transformed into a dragon. This tattoo tells the story of this little Koi's journey. Up the inside of the collector's calf swims the determined little fish. Against all odds he reaches the head of the River and leaps from the water. Above the metaphorical Dragon's Gate of the collector's knee, the koi-fish begins his transformation mid leap, becoming a Koi-dragon, before continuing down the outside of the collector's calf as a full fledged dragon.

I am a self taught tattoo artist.
A Selt Taught Tattoo Artist is:
An artist that has not taken the same path as many today, but rather has had to do all the research on legalities, sterile procedures and requirements and how to (and where to) get certified and licensed, on her own, without the benefit of a mentor.
An artist who has a loyal client base going back over 20 years who has reworked, touched up and yes, even repaired pieces for free, as her knowledge base increased.
An artist who has hung around shops and conventions for 10 years, carrying her portfolio, showing it to any artist who would look, being polite and watching and asking questions wherever and whenever possible to learn.
An artist who, in all humility believes that tattooing, like life, is an ongoing journey in which one must continue to learn, to strive and to improve.
An artist who works out of a clean and comfortable Home Studio and who has no possibility of apprenticing, as she takes care of her disabled mother and 88 year old grandmother with altzheimers, and MUST be within at least intercom distance of them 24/7.
She is not a "Scratcher"
She is not Unclean, uncertified, unlicensed or irresponsible.
Thanks for stopping by. I wish you happinss, success and growth in each endeavor toward which you strive
