i drew this one on real quick and got crackin! i love the way it turned out, and i feel the colors play well off of each other.
i think the belly was a good view to take since i wanted to go for something a bit different.

yes, this is a twist on the bone thugs n harmony logo. word em up.

a little twist on the traditional st. michael. i went for a more dramatic effect with this.

i did this one last month. a bit more neo-traditional than i usually venture, but i really do enjoy this style.
the banner says evan, which is the client's son. so to that one specific person out there (you know who you are) this is NOT a tribute to eddie van halen.
how you even reached that conclusion astounds me....

yeah, so here's the devil! complete with a whip and a spear...there's so much more to this when it's done. the other shoulder blade will be done, as well as half of his chest, all incorporated into one piece.

enjoy!

i've recently begun to incorporate my old style with my new style, and this is the bastard child of such a union.

no, not the pimp caddy who carries your pimp for you, a pimp caddy like a pimped out caddilac symbol.

ya heard. this dude was 60 years old and was a monk for 5 years in the late 60's. he had some good stories and wanted a jesus who looked more realistic, more arab.
he brought in the case for the passion, and i said that it doesn't get much better than that. so we went for a slightly altered version of the cover.
fantastic fun involved, i'm really lovin this style more and more.

man was this one awesome. this girl (who is more or less too young to remember the bulk of it) is in love with hair metal and cock rock.
about 9 months ago i tattooed "kickstart my heart" in the center of her upper back. today i did the cover of metal health next to it. truly awesome, truly a fun piece.
the best thing: we're doing her entire back in an 80's rock album cover theme.
any suggestions?

i wanted to wait until it was done, but man...i am having a great time doing this piece and can't wait to finish it up.
i was approached with the projest to cover this old haggard tribal piece with some sort of scary face, so i opted for a tricked out bottom lit zombie scene.
can't wait to get this done. the appointment is set for 2 weeks from now, so i'll have the pics up then. keep your eyes peeled.

yet another...i swear i do more cover ups than anything these days...
not the original drawing i was planning on, but i found a way for the clients vision and my own to both be fulfilled.
as always, i had a blast doing this and i am very happy with the results.

AHHH, YES...cover ups. man, i love doing cover ups. here's another one i did today. actually i designed the tattoo and didn't even realize i had to do a cover up. not until she walked into the shop.
but i made it work, a little tweak and a color change here and there...VOILA!!

ah, a lovely piece to do. it mixes the best of both worlds with the new school heart and the softer style hummingbirds.
i did this at the atlantic city convention this past weekend, and had a blast doing so. great time, great people, great tattoos.
but i digress...check it out, have fun with it. i did.

fun little thing to do. i went minimal with the outline and filled in the details with the color and shading. healed up very nicely too, which is always good to see with foot tattoos.

here's another one. homeboy did this in one sitting, 4 hours. i went through it pretty quick, but still. it's a large area. he was feeling rough by the end, but he hung tough.

an in progress shot of a wing. there will be far more added to this, and it will eventually be a half chest plate, half shoulder plate, half sleeve. interesting layout. and it goes onto his neck. i'll have more pics in about a month.

not always my deal, but still a style i would like to explore further. i used to love it, but my interest waned after a few years. then i had this project to work on. we weren't even going for biomechanical until about 5 minutes before i started.
as you can see, it ended up being a wise choice. now we're going to do the whole arm. i can't wait.

even more cover ups. did this on my guest spot at human production gallery in pittsburgh. nice little piece. i mixed in gray tones with all of the purple, and it gave it a cool color. just a little bit off kilter, you know?
there will be more to go on this, as soon as i make the final move out there.
yeah...

i covered homeboy's dead baby he had on his arm with a sort of cartoony version of skekung, the new emperor of the skeksis from the movie the dark crystal. SKEKUNG THE GARTHIM MASTER: YOU ROCK!! yet another reason i love cover-ups, and yet another happy customer.

after a few in progress posts, here is that willow tree i've been so eager to share with everybody.
grand total 7 hours, she sat like a champ. very happy with the results, and can't wait to do more trees on people.
i've done so many this year...
