jason wanted sort of an abstract rehash of a maori tribal half sleeve,so i freehanded the negative elements and made them the foreground in the finished tattoo.

forgot to get another before shot!!! under this was a little black symbol, just below the bottom flower. based it on a design she brought in, then jazzed it up a bit in the freehand.

i did this after hours on my good mate mr.big bird. we'd talked about it for a while before deciding to put it on, i had a great time making big bird look like he belonged in a sort of new style jap sock. excuse the photos, we took them while the tattoo is still healing.
