Renato Sette

Renato Sette's work unites tattoos, graffiti and paintings.
Sette started drawing at an early age and in 1994 he took up graffiti in the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil. After being published in various graffiti and fashion magazines, as well as holding seminars for youths in public schools about graffiti, he started working as a drawing and graffiti teacher for an organization which held classes in juvenile correction centres.

In 2000, Sette started his career as a new school style tattoo artist, drawing influences from graffiti in his work. With time he started painting on canvases and flash drawings in different styles as a form of studies for his tattooing. This earned him recognition in the industry, and soon he was published in tattoo magazines such as Tattoo Brazil Magazine, Tatuadores and Almanaque Brasileiro de Tatuagem.

In 2009 Sette enrolled at the visual art programme at the University Cruzeiro do Sul. In 2009 and 2010 he participated in the "Mostra International de Arte Contemporanea" in Rio de Janeiro, an international exhibition of contemporary art.

Since the beginning of 2011, Sette has been working as a tattoo artist at the Infierno Tattoo studio in Malmö, Sweden.
